Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization E-Archives More than 150-Million Documents

AMMAN – E-Archiving Department at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) announced that it archived more than 150 million files in the last three years.

During this period, the Department was able to automate work procedures for many government and private institutions in different sectors locally, regionally and globally.

E-Archiving Department Manager, Mr. Samer Al-Ramahi, said that the Department was established to keep-up with the knowledge development and assist institutions and departments efforts in their digital transformation.

Al-Ramahi pointed out that the Department works according to an international system that conforms to the ISO standards noting that the archiving process incorporates several stages which include accumulating files, preparation, scanning, indexing, checking and restoring documents. He added that the system’s advanced search tool enables users to access information through any available electronic device anytime anywhere.

Moreover, he noted that this system aims at saving storage space and cost of storing backlogs of papers, not to mention that e-archiving protects documents from damage, fraud, theft and piracy.

Ramahi also stated that e-archiving System became essential for automating and accelerating organizations' processes as it allows any organization to electronically store the most valuable information in the form of E documents, such as business reports, forms, memos, letters, policy statements, contracts and agreements and to retrieve them on demand even without any Internet connection.
