The Jordanian Hashemite Fund signs a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization

The MOU is an introduction to future cooperation between the two institutions to support and enhance development programs in Jordan

Amman ? 4 November 2009 ? The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Professional Training Company signed on October 27, 2009 a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore the possibilities of cooperation between the two institutions in the field of training and qualifying staff operating on the development of local communities.

The MOU provides for the formation of a joint working group to study and develop training packages to support micro, small and medium enterprises, which had been prepared by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg), and to design and develop a comprehensive vocational training program for workers in the development of local communities in order to meet the developmental needs.

The MOU also provides for the provision of scholarships within the programs conducted by TAGorg to build capacities in the local communities where the JOHUD operates, especially the poor areas, in addition to using the TAGorg database in the field of recruitment services for youth and locating job opportunities for them with Jordanian and Arab corporations with which TAGorg has business and cooperation relations.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund by Ms. Eman Nimri, Deputy CEO and Manager of the Sustainable Development Program and Mr. Kais Alkhalafat on behalf of Talal Abu Ghazaleh Professional Training.

Ms. Nimri said that the MOU will be a future gateway for cooperation with TAGorg in many areas of development that will be reflected positively on the enhancement of development programs implemented by the JOHUD and other concerned national institutions.

On his part, Mr. Alkhalafat explained that the MOU will be the nucleus of an ongoing cooperation with the JOHUD for the formation of a genuine partnership between the two parties to promote the development programs in Jordan, because the use of the toolkit to support micro, small and medium enterprises in the planning and management of such enterprises will help the beneficiaries to implement a clear and simple scientific methodology to develop their enterprises so as to ensure their success.
