TAG-Knowledge and ICT Ministry Hold E-GOV Lecture

Lecturers tackled concept of E-GOV, e-services, obstacles and elements of success


AMMAN --- August 20, 2009 --- The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge) in cooperation with the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) held recently a lecture on the Electronic Government (E-GOV) project at the Society?s premises. The lecture, attended by students and members of TAG-Knowledge, crystallizes Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization?s (TAG-Org) mission in promoting the significance of ICT to a wide-ranging community throughout the Arab region.
Mr. Haitham Al-Qaisi from the ICT Ministry presented a brief about the concept of E-GOV, e-services offered to the citizens in all fields; in addition, he highlighted obstacles which encountered the implementation of this vital project and the elements that made it a success.


From his part, Mr. Faris Shaddad, manager of the E-GOV project at the Ministry of Industry and Trade gave a presentation about E-Commerce, its terms and laws that govern its transactions. TAG-Knowledge and ICT Ministry Hold E-GOV Lecture


TAG-Knowledge is the latest initiative taken by Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), to be the intellectual and knowledge-enhancement body of TAG-Org. It targets the Arab youth and aims at achieving human resources development. Its mission being the delivery of a larger number of local professionals, with the competitive edge resulting from international exposure, all provided by a one-stop-hub under the support of TAG-Org experts.
