WIPO, Jordan National Library, TAG- College regroup international and regional experts to discuss challenges facing academic institutions
AMMAN Oct. 6, 2008,The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) organize in cooperation with the Jordan National Library/ Ministry of Culture and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAG-College) the National Symposium on Intellectual Property Education and Research October 13-14, 2008 at the College headquarters.
The two-day Symposium will tackle several issues related to the role of Intellectual Property (IP) in knowledge and wealth creation and national development, emerging needs and challenges faced by academic institutions in the teaching of IP, the complementary role of IP offices, in addition to other topics.
Panelists include international and regional experts such as Anil Sinha, head, Research and Executive Program, WIPO Worldwide Academy, Hossam El-Saghir, professor of Commercial Law and vice dean, director of the Regional Institute for Intellectual Property, Helwan University, Cairo, Charles Shaban executive director/ Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property, Qais Mahafza, professor at the University of Jordan, among others.
At the end of the two-day Symposium a roundtable discussion on Strengthening IP Education, Training and Research to meet the needs of sustainable development: Proposals and Strategies will be conducted.

Founded in 1994, the Jordan National Library plays an important role in protecting IP including copyrights which constitutes to the basis of good governance.
