Graduation of ACPA Certificate Holders in Palestine

Obtaining the ACPA certificate which is accredited by the University of Cambridge International Examinations qualifies the graduates to work professionally in this field ? Hassouneh

RAMALLAH, September 11, 2008 ,The Professional Academy for Administrative and Financial Sciences in Ramallah, Palestine, recently organized a graduation ceremony for students who passed the Arab Certified Public Accountant (ACPA) exam, under the patronage of the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA), the Palestinian Certified Auditors Society and the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org).

Head of the Financial and Administrative Bureau Dr. Mahmoud Abu Al-Rub, senior officials, and family and friends of the graduates attended the ceremony.

Abu Al-Rub highlighted the role played by certified accountants in organizing the profession and providing the Palestinian economy and the labor market with professional national cadres. He also focused on the significance of obtaining the ACPA certificate stating that it is competitive to its global counterparts in various practical and scholarly standards. He also praised the roles played by ASCA and TAG-Org in balancing between international and scientific requirements.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Education representative Mr. Abdul Kareem Al-Saghir pointed to the ministry?s keenness to promote the culture of accountancy and transparency while supporting the students in Palestinian universities in the fields of accounting, administration and finance.

The Chairman of the Certified Auditors Society Mr. Akram Hassouneh said that obtaining the ACPA certificate which is accredited by the University of Cambridge International Examinations qualifies the graduates to work professionally in this field. He expressed the Society?s appreciation for the efforts exerted by ASCA, TAG-Org and the Academy and their concern for the Arab accountant by offering appropriate practical and academic programs.

The valedictorian speech was delivered by Ms. Faten Al-Salibi, who expressed the students? gratitude towards the teachers at the Academy and ASCA while highlighting the hard work put forth by the students for this degree. This was followed by a speech from Dr. Shadi Hamad, the Academy?s dean.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Abu Al-Rub and Dr. Hamad along with other officials presented the certificates to all twenty-nine graduates.
