ACIPLP Advisory Board Meeting Held at TAGCB
The Board members discussed the general framework of the program, accredited by the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), and the necessity to add a special course on franchising
AMMAN --------April 10, 2008------- The first Advisory Board meeting of the Arab Certified Intellectual Property Licensing Practitioner (ACIPLP) program convened on April 5, 2008 at the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business/German-Jordanian University.
The meeting was headed by Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Advisory Board in the presence of Mr. Heinz Goddar former president of LESI and Vice Chair of the Board in addition to other experts.
The Board members discussed the general framework of the program, accredited by the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), and the necessity to add a special course on franchising. This suggestion will be discussed with LESI Educational Committee during its annual meeting to be held in Chicago May 2-8, 2008.
The Board discussed the need to prepare a new guide for the program that introduces the Advisory Board?s members and trainers accredited by LESI in addition to a brief about the Society.
The Board was updated with the results of the first phase of the program held during 2007; in particular in Jordan during April 2007 and Lebanon in September of that year.
It is worth noting that the ACIPLP certificate provides a solid basis for creating a successful career in the fields of licensing, intellectual property assets management and technology transfer, by raising the level of knowledge and skills of program participants.
This certificate qualifies practitioners to perform their tasks in accordance with the international standards.
ACIPLP program will be organized in Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Qatar in 2008.
