Interstandards Holds First Training Course of Its Kind in the Arab World at TAGCB

AMMAN --- February 7, 2008--- Interstandards Organization, the first organization in the Arab world specialized in applying website quality standards, held the first training course of its kind in the region for the Web Development Department at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg).

The training course held at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAGCB) entitled "Interstandards Standardizations Modules and Audit Reports" provided TAGorgs professionals with the necessary skills needed for web auditing set by Interstandards. TAGorgs web development department team


The January 19-24, 2008 course comes as part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between TAGorg and Interstandards last year, to enhance and accelerate the Internet industry in the region through the implementation of quality standards.


Delivered by Interstandards General Manager, Mr. Mohammad Jaradat, the six-day course tackled all the aspects of website quality such as website security, design engineering, content and advertising among others. Audit methods used in these fields were highlighted as well.


"The workshop was very successful; TAGorg team showed a great deal of eagerness to learn and apply the measures introduced during the course," he said.
"By completing this course, the Web Development team has become accredited by Interstandards to audit any website in Jordan and assess its compliance with the Interstandards measures," TAGorg Web Development Manager Mr. Ihab Abu-Hilal noted.

"In the aftermath, an auditing report will be sent to Interstandards which grants the said website Interstandards Certificate," he added.

Meanwhile, TAGorg Search Engines Specialist Mr. Ramez Quneibi, said it was very informative, pointing out that: "the skills and knowledge acquired during this course are definitely going to enhance and improve the quality of my work since we were introduced to the latest standards in the web development field."

The signing of the MoU between TAGorg and Interstandards took place during GITEX Technology Week Global Conference that was held in Dubai September 8-12, 2007.
