TAGCB Establishes Cambridge International Center The Center Offers Cambridge International Certificates and Diplomas


 AMMAN --- February 26, 2007 --- The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAGCB) announced that it has signed an agreement on January 16, 2007 with the University of Cambridge, to establish the Cambridge International Center (CIC); the first center of its kind in the Arab region, at the College headquarters in Amman.
The Center is certified to prepare and issue Cambridge International Certificates and Diplomas to teachers and trainers in Information and Communications Technology, in addition to Business Management.
The details of the agreement include descriptions of both the relationship between the University and the Center, and the Center?s obligations and duties related to offering assessment products (qualifications and syllabuses) and services.

Executive Director of TAGCB Mr. Bassam Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that this agreement signifies the strategic partnership between the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) and the University of Cambridge/CIE.

?This partnership dates back to 2004 when the ACPA Certificate (Arab Certified Public Accountants, issued by the Arab Society of Certified Accountants) was validated by Cambridge International Examinations at the University of Cambridge,? Abu-Ghazaleh said.

Through the Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge IT Skills Awards (AGCA), TAGorg maintains solid cooperation ties with Cambridge University. AGCA is the exclusive accredited center from CIE ? University of Cambridge, offering training and testing for the CIE Information Technology Certification in the Arabic language. This service is provided in cooperation with accredited centers throughout the Arab world.
