A Protocol for Cooperation, Coordination and Support was signed in Amman between the United Nations ICT Task Force Arab Regional Network and the Representative of the General Management of the Arab League Authentication and Information Center in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The signing ceremony was attended by the Arab League Secretary His Excellency Ambassador Sua?d Bin Abdul-Aziz Zubeidi and H.E. Dr. Mohammad Al- Halaiqa, Minister of National Economy in Jordan.
The Protocol aims at providing the necessary bases and requirements for organizing and promoting cooperation between the two bodies in the field of information and to realize their objectives of contributing to the advancement, prosperity and economic and social development of the Arab countries, individually and collectively.
The Protocol was signed on behalf of the Arab Regional Network by its Secretary, Mr. Mustafa Nasserddin, and on behalf of the Authentication Center by its Director Mr. Mohammad Issa Al-Adwan.
The two parties shall work, through a clear action plan, for realizing the optimal utilization of material and human resources and the expertise available to each one of them, and give opportunity to researchers from both parties to contribute to the promotion of scientific research. Coordination will be made with the Arab League in all correspondence through the Authentication and Information Center, and with the Secretary of the United Nations ICT Task Force Arab Regional Network.
Signing of the Protocol is an achievement realized in the context of joint Arab work, to keep pace with technological and information development resulting from the digital knowledge revolution, and to promote the concept of participation at world level.
