TAGKS Holds SMEs Toolbox Program Workshop

AMMAN ----- April 6, 2010 -------- The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAGKS) concluded an extensive course and a workshop on the "Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Toolbox" (M/SME Toolbox) program March 20-27, 2010.

The course is part of the cooperation agreement signed between Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and the Information and Communication Technology for Development in the Arab Region (ICTDAR) program at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). TAGKS Holds SMEs Toolbox Program Workshop

M/SME Toolbox is a component of ICTDAR?s larger MASHROATI initiative, which focuses on the use of Technology to support M/SME?s in the Arab region through the provision of support hubs for capacity building and training.

The program is dedicated to achieving change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life by finding their own solutions to global and national development challenges and in finding alternatives while facing the current economic crisis.

The Toolbox covers nine aspects of SMEs management basis. These nine elements are the fundamentals to successfully operate an SME.
These aspects are: Business Management, Business Planning, Human Resources, Accounting, Expenses, Purchasing, Marketing and Operations management and inventory control.
