MANAMA, Bahrain - April 11, 2010 ? Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and chair of the Global Alliance for ICT and Development (GAID) of the United Nations met with the University of Bahrain (UOB) students on April 7, 2010 and tackled several key issues related to education.
In his lecture entitled "How to be Successful?" organized by the University of Bahrain in cooperation with the Zain e-learning Center, Abu-Ghazaleh discussed the elements that form success in a world full of competition.
Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh shared with students his success story starting as a Palestinian student then as a refugee in Lebanon ending up as one of the leading business figures in the world. He stressed that any person can transform his sufferings into success.
He presented students with some guidelines that enlighten their future career path, stressing that education is an effective tool for making a successful future.
In addition to the UOB President of the University Dr. Ibrahim Bin Mohammed Janahi, the meeting was attended by a group of university professors, officials of Zain e-learning Center, a large number of students and TAG-Org senior officials.
The gathering was followed by a meeting between Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh and Dr. Janahi, and another meeting with Dr. Saleh Hashem, chairman of the Union of Arab Universities, during which they discussed ways of cooperation in the fields of education and e-learning, and quality of education in the Arab region.
