AMMAN --- April 14, 2010 --- The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge) hosted on April 10, 2010 the Architectural Forums 6th workshop entitled "the Role of Environment in Architecture" with the participation of students representing various universities and environmentalists.
The workshop focused on the limitations and beauty standards set by the environment towards architecture with Eng. Ammar Khammash sharing his rich experience in the areas of Geology, Botany and Anthropology.
Eng. Khammash, a dedicated environmentalist, tackled his most famous work through various modernization scenarios that best can be observed in the Wild Jordan Building in Amman and the Resorts of the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature in Dana, Ajloun and Pella.
The workshop helped architecture students become critical of the upstream and downstream effects of building design, construction, use, and disposal through the interactive dialogue led by Eng. Khammash who stressed on the fact that architecture should join professionalism and art.
TAG-Knowledge Society has recently hosted the launch of the Forum of Architecture in order to provide the opportunity for students of engineering at the Jordanian universities to identify the practical experiences learned from architects.
