RAMALLAH------- May 27, 2010---------- The first training program on Project Management supervised and conducted by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI) concluded in Ramallah with the graduation of 32 Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) Officers and three members of the Ministry of Interior.

Talking on behalf of the trainees at the graduation ceremony, PCP Major Jihad N?erat thanked Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) for providing the expertise and also thanked EUPOL COPPS for their support and coordination.TAGI Provides Training to Palestinian Civil Police Officers

EUPOL COPPS is an important element in the improvement of security in the Palestinian Territories which started on January 1, 2006. It builds on the work of the EU Coordination Office for Palestinian Police Support, established earlier within the office of the EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process.

The training has been funded by the government of Cyprus and coordinated by EUPOL COPPS? Project Manager, Ms. Nadine Habash.

The main objective of this course is to provide participants with basic and practical knowledge of the project management methods, skills and tools for the development of different kinds of projects.

Trainees are expected to become leaders for all the PCP projects that will be implemented during 2010-2013 based on the Security Sector Strategy issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Interior.

The graduation ceremony was chaired by the PCP Deputy Chief of Police, Brigadier General Jihad Al Museimi and held at the Ministry of Interior in Ramallah.
