The event attended by TAG-Knowledge members tackled the warning signs of cardiac arrest in which a victim loses consciousness, stops normal breathing and loses pulse and blood pressure
AMMAN -------July 11, 2010---------- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge) hosted a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and cardiac arrest workshop in cooperation with King Hussein Cancer Center.
The event attended by TAG-Knowledge members tackled the warning signs of cardiac arrest in which a victim loses consciousness, stops normal breathing and loses pulse and blood pressure.
Attendees learned how to give cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to help keep the cardiac arrest victim alive until emergency help arrives. CPR keeps blood and oxygen flowing to the heart and brain until defibrillation can be administered.
Mr. Tareq Hammad, TAG-Knowledge executive director said, "This was one of the most educational and enjoyable workshops, members had a chance to try the CPR, learned medical terms and practice in case of emergency."
"We have a lot of requests from members asking for more workshops that tackle such subjects and of course we will try to find more interesting subjects to satisfy the needs of our loyal members," he added.
