TAG-Org Concludes Successful Participation in the 13th Amman International Book Fair

It was a very well-organized event that attracted thousands of people from all over the Kingdom -Hammad

AMMAN----- October 14, 2010 ----- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) took part in the 13th Amman International Book Fair held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II at Amman Auto Expo.

Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Minister of Culture Nabih Shuqum inaugurated the Fair which was organized by the Jordanian Publishers Union (JPU), the Ministry of Culture and the Greater Amman Municipality.

"It was a very well-organized event that attracted thousands of people from all over the Kingdom," TAG-Org Publications Department Director Mustafa Hammad said.

"We displayed our latest publications which included dictionaries in various subjects, our specialized books in addition to a review of our services," he added.

Among TAG-Org?s publications which were displayed at the Fair is the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Information and Communication Technology (TAG ICT) Dictionary, an English-Arabic publication of about 6,500 ICT terms. It was produced to serve various goals, one of which is meeting the needs of ICT specialists and students in universities, colleges and vocational institutions by providing necessary explanations for various terms rather than merely equivalent meanings or synonyms.

In addition, other publications included the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) ? International Public Sector Accounting Standards ( IPSAS ), Handbook of International Standards on Auditing and Quality Control, International Financial Reporting Standard for Small and Medium-sized Entities ( IFRS for SMEs ), Handbook of International Quality Control, Auditing, Review, Other Assurance, and Related Services Pronouncements.
A copy of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Information and Communication Technology (TAG ICT) Dictionary was presented to the Minister who visited TAG-Orgs booth and commended on the efforts and work of all staff.

The September 22 ?October 1 book fair, hosted around 153 local, regional and international publication houses.
