Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business Adopts Alternative Energy to Generate Electricity

The solar energy system will save approximately 90% of TAGSB annual energy consumption bill, and is consistent with TAG-Orgs policy on environment

AMMAN -------- March 6, 2014 -------- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business (TAG-SB)/German Jordanian University signed an agreement with Eco Engineering and Energy Solutions Company (EcoSol)under which a solar energy system is to be installed at TAG-SB building on Mecca Street.

Eng. Ashraf Al-Husseini, TAG-Orgs Project Manager, clarified that this solar energy system will save approximately 90% of TAG-SB’s annual energy consumption bill, and is consistent with TAG-Orgs policy on preserving the environment. The project which received the necessary official approvals supports the government policy aimed at reducing the burdens of the national energy bill.  

Al-Husseini stated that the system’s infrastructure and framework were designed according to the modern architectural design of the city of Amman by TAG-Org Engineering Consulting Company, adding that "Eco Engineering and Energy Solutions is currently engaged in studying and designing integrated energy management systems (including energy efficiency program  and solar energy generating systems) in order to meet the needs of TAG-Org’s three other buildings located in Shmeisani and Mecca Street."

Meanwhile, Eng. Jalal Khasawneh, EcoSol technical director said "the technical studies showed that in addition to the saving in consumption, it will also reduce greenhouse gas emissions which are harmful to the environment at a rate of 123 tons annually.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Afif Assaf, TAG-Org Financial Executive Director, and Eng. Hasan Suboh, General Director of Eco Engineering and Energy Solutions, with the attendance of officials from TAG-SB and the EcoSolCompany.
