AROQA Publishes First Issue of the Arab Journal of Quality in Education

AMMAN---- November 9, 2014------The Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) has published the first issue of the Arab Journal of Quality in Education (AJQE). The publication is a bi-annual peer-reviewed journal supervised by an editorial board that is chaired by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of AROQA, and a group of specialists and reviewers who are quality experts in all patterns of education from the Arab countries and the world.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh indicated that the purpose of this Journal is to provide a platform for scientists and policy makers all over the Arab region and the world to promote, share, and discuss various developments and issues in different areas of quality in education.

He said, that the editorial board has received many research papers from many experts in the educational institutions in the world, and all have undergone the rigorous editorial process by reviewers who are acclaimed in the field of education to ensure highest standards of quality.

He added that AJQE aims to answer important questions for the relevant scholarly and practitioner communities of education, including: Education service sector, Libraries, Strategic managers of education services, decision makers and official government, Educational quality and accreditation agencies, employers, unions and community groups, and to bring new knowledge in the field of quality assurance and accreditation in the Arab region.

The topics of e-learning took a space in the Journal, in addition to the role of information and communication technology in applying e-learning in education institutions and controlling the quality.

The first issue contains valuable research papers including: educational policies and school academic accreditation, consortia benchmark of quality management systems in higher education exemplified by universities in the MENA region, and a hybrid e-learning model for distance learning implementation, and more.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh encouraged experts from schools, universities and all educational institutions to participate and submit their research papers and articles to contribute to this scientific effort and benefit the education programs in our countries.

The abstracts of the first issue will be available on the Journal’s website ajqe.aroqa.org and a printed copy will be provided at a nominal price upon request from AROQA.
