AMMAN ----- December 14, 2014 ------- The Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. Consulting (TAG-Consult) signed a memorandum of understanding in a special ceremony held at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University (TAGI-UNI)
The MoU which was signed by President of JEA Abdullah Obeidat and Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh aims at building a strategy of cooperation in the field of providing consulting engineering services, expertise and other professional services of both parties.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pleasure to host the President of JEA and the accompanying delegation indicating that it is a great pride that JEA is chairing the Federation of Arab Engineers (FAE) which is considered an achievement for Jordan and JEA. He added, “In this meeting, we consider we are specialized partners, each in its field of work in order to cooperate in several fields”.
He assured that TAG-Org looks forward to cooperating and exchanging experience with JEA in the field of engineering consulting and the technical studies related to the regional and international tenders in which TAG-Org participates worldwide.
Eng. Abdullah Obeidat, in turn, praised the efforts of TAG-Org and its achievements and the distinctive international reputation.
He presented a brief illustration about the activities and programs of JEA indicating that the percentage of engineers in Jordan is one of the highest in the world. He explained that about 35000 engineers lead the engineering work in the Arab states, 22000 of them in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He added that JEA plays a significant role in the field of qualifying, training, capacity building and employing engineers through more than 150 parties operating under JEA indicating that the Association implements about 14% of total international training regarding the contracts of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC). He also said that JEA has entered several local, regional and international agreements in all fields.
