TAG-SB and IMC University Sign An Agreement to Offer MA Program in Tourism

AMMAN -------- December 11, 2014 ---------- HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, president of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business (TAGSB) and Prof. (FH) Dr. Karl Ennsfellner, IMC University of Applied Sciences/KREMS CEO, signed an agreement aiming at offering Master Program in tourism at TAGSB in the presence of Dr. Amin Mahmoud, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Ms. Astrid Haarts, Ambassador of Austria to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.  

Under this agreement which aims at enhancing the cultural and scientific cooperation with the most prominent international universities in order to serve the academic development and the national economy by building national tourist competencies for further organized tourist attraction and according to the highest internationally recognized standards, TAG-SB will apply to obtain the approval of the Higher Education Council to duly launch this crucial program.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed the ambition that this School becomes a central scientific site for all people in the Arab world, particularly tourism postgraduate students of the Gulf region as graduates are expected to receive certificates jointly signed by the German Jordanian University and the prestigious Austrian IMC University which are accredited by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Austria and the Federal Republic of Germany.

IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems is an educational institution in partnership with both private and public sectors. It studies the needs of the labor market and accordingly offers required disciplines and courses as well as it confers bachelor and master degrees in different disciplines that are accredited in Europe and it recently met with Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah and listened to her views concerning education and development in the Kingdom.

TAG-SB is one of the main faculties of the German Jordanian University. It is also the first of its kind to represent partnership between both public and private sectors in the Arab world. TAG-SB has received the best Faculty of Management Award in Asia from the World Education Conference for Asia Awards for 2011. These awards are actually international prizes given in recognition of excellence in education, leadership and training. The programs offered by have been recently accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation "FIBAA". It was also ranked eighth in the forefront of Arab universities offering Master programs according to a study conducted by "Forbes – Middle East" magazine.
