Winners of Arab Youth Creativity Competition Announced

AMMAN------- June 28, 2015-------- –Under the Patronage of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), the Jubilee School, a major undertaking of King Hussein Foundation, announced the winners of the 12th Arab Youth Creativity Competition for Electronic Design.

The Website Design Competition for the age group (13-15), Salem and Muhannad AlWarawra, from King Abdullah II School for Excellence, won the first place followed by Hamza AlBatayneh and Amr Rawashdeh from Jubilee School and Khaled AlSayed and Numan Mousa from Asamiah International School settled in the third place.

The Website Design Competition for the age group (16-18), Mohammad Abu-Aboud from Omareyah School won the first place followed by Bashar Atoum and Hussam Abu-Kharj from Jubilee School in the second place, while Rand Jabareen and Farah Khreis from Jordanian International Schools, and Nasouh AlSantarisi from Jubilee school, shared the third spot.

The Posters Design Competition, Hussam Abu-Khard from Jubilee School won the first place followed by Laith AlFanek from Modern Montessori School meanwhile, third place reserved for the participation from governorates  

Aws Ammar AlSulaiman from Balqa Islamic Schools won the third spot.

The Film Competition, Asim Abu-Aboud from Jubilee School won the first place followed by Qais Zeidan from The Baptist School in the second place  while Amr Rawashdeh from Jubilee School won the third place.

Suha Jouaneh, director of Jubilee School, said that the competition represents an annual gathering place for the youth of the Arab world and it relies on expertise and success. For the purpose of development, Jubilee School had changed the competition name in 2012, to become the "Arab Youth Creativity Competition in Electronic Design", allowing for the addition of new dimensions for the competition field of work.

Each year, the competition committee determines the topics; covering contemporary vital issues at the Arab and international levels.

Speaking to Petra News Agency, Jouaneh added the renovated competition acts as a platform for the Arab students, who are interested in electronic design and who wish to compete with their mates in other schools and countries, as the competition seeks to encourage the youth potentials in design, creativity, innovation, and expertise exchange.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said: "In the near future, we will take pride that Jordan has become a knowledge-based, smart country with smart government and students, as well as smart education; transforming to become at the forefront of the worlds civilized society"

This years competition judging committee included a group of the best designers, developers and producers from major advertising, printing presses, and web development companies in Jordan, which adopted accurate standards in order to upgrade and enhance the talents and direct them into the latest technologies used in the labor market, and to guide them to the new design rules, in accordance with the worlds modern standards.

At the end of the ceremony, awards were distributed to the winners, and all participating students were granted certificates of appreciation.
