Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization Inaugurates a Knowledge Station at Jordan Public Security Directorate

AMMAN –--- September 9, 2015 ---HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), inaugurated a knowledge station at the Public Security Directorate which was established by TAG-Org under the patronage of the Operations and Training Assistant at the Directorate Brigadier Hamdi Al-Hiary.

The station is part of TAG-Org’s initiative to establish 20 knowledge stations in all police directorates in all districts which would enable the Public Security staff to obtain specialized training and qualification in computer science and English language skills.

Brigadier Al-Hiary emphasized that the Public Security Directorate aims through its security strategy to develop and raise the performance of its personnel in order to achieve security services that meet the needs of citizens pointing out that achieving this objective is achieved through partnership and cooperation with different private and public institutions, and that TAG-Org is considered a model that enhances this strategic objective.

He explained that the number of graduates of the knowledge stations, established by TAG-Org, reached 983, in addition to the graduation of 64 trainers through 55 training courses held until now stating that the results of such a collaboration would reflect positively in the future.

Al-Hiary pointed out that the progress in the field of communications and information technology has mandated that the Public Security keeps up with it by qualifying its personnel to deal with this technological revolution, in addition to mastering different languages to enable them perform their duties professionally and in a distinguished manner that keeps pace with modern police sciences, emphasizing the ability of the Public Security apparatus in the areas of tracing electronic crimes through the Cyber Crime Unit where the Kingdom was among the first Arab countries that trained and qualified its cadres in that field, becoming a role model in the region.

For his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride and satisfaction with this partnership, which comes as part of implementing the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who has always emphasized the importance of opening horizons for partnerships between public and private organizations in all aspects.

He also pointed out that the initiative provides knowledge stations aiming at providing support for developing human capabilities and qualifications in the Public Security Directorate, and at providing the latest tools and techniques in the field of information and communication technology, in addition to enriching the Public Security personnel with expertise provided by TAG-Org professionals and experts.

He also explained: "What distinguishes our experience with the Public Security Apparatus compared to other training courses was the quick graduation of the trainees which indicates that they enjoy the basic knowledge although most of them do not work in the field of information technology."

The two parties also discussed ways to enhance their partnership in various fields: electronic crimes and protecting the Intellectual Property Rights, in addition to discussing cooperation in the field of fighting human trafficking, especially fighting the use of children in wars.

Top information technology trainers qualified by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society were honored in the inauguration ceremony.
