Abu-Ghazaleh: Our support to this respectable media institution comes to keep pace with the accelerating developments in media

Shboul: Our cooperation with TAG-Org comes in line with the vision of HM King Abdullah II in establishing true partnership between the public and private sectors

AMMAN - January 6, 2016 - Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and Jordan News Agency (Petra) signed a cooperation agreement in the field of media.

According to the agreement signed by TAG-Orgs Chairman HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, and Director General of Petra News Agency, HE. Faisal Al Shboul, TAG-Org will offer its support to the News Agency by providing the hall of the economy news section with 40 TAGITOPS to journalists in order to facilitate their work.

The agreement also stipulates that the Agency is to publish the news and activities of TAG-Org, consistent with its editing policies, in addition to publishing an advertisement of the services of TAG-Org on each of the Agency’s website and through its application for smart devices.  

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh praised the cooperation with Jordan News Agency (Petra) expressing his pride of its leading and pioneering role in news coverage, giving the bright image of Jordan, for the integrity, transparency and impartiality it maintains.

He said further “our cooperation with (Petra) comes as part of our duty towards the society and country based on our social responsibility which is consistent with the vision of HM King Abdullah II in establishing true partnership between the public and private sectors”.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh added that the support of TAG-Org to this respectable media institution comes  in pace with accelerating developments in the media field indicating the commitment of TAG-Org to contribute effectively in the development and improvement of the Jordanian society as well as implementation of several initiatives including various sectors and places in the Kingdom.

Moreover, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride that TAG-Org is to renovate the economy section’s hall in the Agency and provide laptops to journalists, especially that this is the era of technology and it is necessary to have this technology in the work of media.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh praised the distinguished and continuous cooperation between TAG-Org and the Agency, with appreciating its role as a national institution which contributed to the development of the media sector and transmission of the Jordanian media mission to the world.

From his side, Shboul praised the role of TAG-Org, the global organization with 80 offices around the world, in writing a success story admired by the world through providing professional services and programs.

He further expressed his appreciation, in person and on behalf of the Agency, to Dr. Abu- Ghazaleh for his continuous support for the Agency and providing the necessary equipment assisting the Agency in performing its tasks.

Al Shboul emphasized the importance of the agreement, which shows the cooperation between the public and private sector, with praising the continuous support of TAG-Org to the Agency confirming the importance of effective cooperation between national institutions in serving the Kingdom in various fields with appreciating the interaction of the group represented by launching several projects and initiatives contributing to economic and social development in several regions of the Kingdom.

He further said that Jordan News Agency transmits the voice and mission of the Kingdom, through news and reports emphasizing Jordanian achievements as well as the Arab views regarding several causes on all levels, and it is working to keep pace with all recent developments and attends to provide modern science and technological means to put in the hands of its journalists and reporters to cover activities and events on time and as soon as possible.
