Zahrat El-Madaen Performed with a Special Gratitude to Abu-Ghazaleh

AMMAN – January 7, 2016 - The Holiday Season witnessed a special concert by the Jordanian National Orchestra Association (JOrchestra) at the Royal Cultural Center in the presence of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of the Board of Trustees.

The concert, attended by a host of diplomatic delegations, was under the title "JOrchestra and George Tomb" with special performance by Ronza Tomb, and composer Samir Tomb, in addition to Maestro Mohamed Sidiq. A special dedication was presented to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh through a classic song entitled "Zahrat Al-Madaen" by NatalieSamaan.

Tomb is a Lebanese prestigious artistic family that includes a number of brilliant musicians. The family dedicated this concert for the emerging talented composer and concert pianist, George Tomb who is 23 years old. George is the youngest composer whose music is played by the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra.

The guest of honor was the star Aida Tomb who was given the name Ronza by Poet Said Aqel.  During her long artistic career, Ronza has performed in musical theatre, opera, and classical, religious, and folkloric concerts. At the beginning of her artistic career, Ronza was mentored by the Rahbani Brothers; she played major roles in many plays, she also worked with Marwan and Ghadi Rahbani in "The Coup" or "Al-Inkilab", and "the Path to Asia" or "Al-Mamar ila Asia". Her Album "The Phoenix" was composed by her brother Samir Tomb. Ronza and her two sisters started TriOrient that has held many concerts in the Arab world, Europe, and Canada.

The concert was attended by the composer Samir Tomb, Georges father and Ronzas brother. Samir is the TriOrients technical director. He has many orchestral pieces, religious hymns, choral music, and a number of albums. His music is characterized by combining classic, oriental, and modern flavors together.

During the event, George introduced many pieces of music such as "Serene Vienna" which was performed for the first time by Atoue Vienna Orchestra during the last summers Hollywood Music Workshop in which George participated, "Love Storm", and "Hope", the first piece for a symphony orchestra composed by George and that represents his musical dream.

Among the pieces also performed at the concert were "Spring of Light" and "Guitta". Guitta was especially composed by Samir Tomb as a marriage gift for his wife Guitta 23 years ago.

George also wrote the song "Message de Paix" or "The Message of Peace" in Beirut after he had composed its music earlier in Vienna. The song was inspired by his younger sister Clara, and is about a little girl dreaming of a world full of love, fun, and innocence; her wish is to sing a song that touches human hearts and calls them towards peace. The song was played by JOrchestra and George and was sung by the 10 years old Clara.

At the end of the concert, many Christmas songs were performed such as "Christmas from the Sky" that was written by Ronzas and Samirs uncle, Bishop George Mutran, and the most famous French Christmas song "Little Santa Clause" followed by a Christmas medley.
