Abu-Ghazaleh Meets with All-China Journalists Association to Discuss Promoting Relations with China
AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), received the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) and members of the Jordanian Press Association to discuss the role of media in developing Chinese relations on an economic, cultural and educational level.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh welcomed the delegation stressing on the importance of Journalism in the world, and in how it has a vital role in promoting different business and corporate social responsibility activities.
These services include TAG-Org’s Intellectual Property office in China, which is considered the largest accredited and registered foreign institution in China – since its establishment of over 20 years. TAG-Org is also a member of the Chinese Government for Intellectual Property Consulting, where China is one of the top leading countries in the field.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in the confidence conveyed by the Chinese Government in considering Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Chinese Visa Section (TAG-Visa) – a member of TAG-Org − a credible Jordanian institution for granting visas for all Jordanian citizens and residents, indicating that he is looking forward for the continued cooperation with the Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, HE Mr. Pan Weifang.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh indicated, “We are pleased with the establishment of our TAG-Confucius center for teaching Chinese as a foreign language here in the Arab Region, and in being the only private institution having this type of cooperation with the Chinese government.”
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh indicated that there will be an agreement signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and TAG-Confucius for placing a special program for teaching all Jordanian diplomats the Chinese language. He added that the Organization has already signed an agreement with Shenyang University to establish language-learning centers in Shenyang northeastern area of China for teaching Arabic language, which falls in line with the objectives of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, pertaining to the 2015 visit to China. This will be the first university in Jordan for vocational training.
The President of the People’s Republic of China, HE Dr. Xi Jinping awarded Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, among ten others, an Honorary Award for Enhancing the Sino-Arab Relations, in Cairo.
As part of TAG-Org’s efforts in strengthening Chinese-Jordanian relations and in extending its services to China, among the opportunities for cooperative work includes the agreed-upon establishment of a small Chinese village for teaching Chinese language and Chinese culinary arts, trade of commodities, and other exchange of services − such as medical related.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh will establish an Arab-Chinese Council that includes private sector representatives from China and the Arab region for further strengthening relations. There are current studies being conducted for implementing this initiative.
TAG-Org also has over 86 offices around the world, three of which are based in China in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.
