Abu-Ghazaleh Receives the Presidential Committee of the World IPR Association
AMMAN- HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), received the presidency of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) to explore development of IPR regionally and globally.
During the meeting that was held in presence of the President of the Association Mr. Felipe Claro, Secretary General Ms. Laurent Thibon, and the Executive Director Mr. John Bochnovic, methods were explored for establishing different branches for the Association in Arab countries.
The AIPPI is devoted to protecting Intellectual Property Rights worldwide, and improving and developing the legal regime pertaining to this, which includes more than nine thousand members representing 100 nations globally, with Switzerland being its headquarters. The Association continuously works on improving and promoting the protection of the both international and national Intellectual Property regulations, as well as developing, improving and expanding international and regional treaties, agreements and national laws that pertain to Intellectual Property.
The Association works on reviewing the existing national laws and proposing suggestions to enhance work in accordance with International standards, thereby facilitating the procedures for protecting Intellectual Property Rights among well-known, international legislative bodies.
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Intellectual Property (AGIP) was established in 1972 during a time where protecting Intellectual Property Rights was in its early stages of development in the Arab Region; AGIP worked on building the infrastructure and using an effective system. AGIP has a specialized team that enables it to provide a comprehensive array of services related to Intellectual Property to cater for the international and regional clients.
