AMMAN – April 21, 2016 - About 2000 trainees joined different training courses held by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-KS), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Foundation, across its stations spread in different governorates of Jordan during the first quarter of 2016.
The courses held by the Society included English language, life skills and SME management. These courses were delivered by a group of competent and experienced trainers who had been chosen according to the highest standards.
TAG-KS aims to support youth in developing their skills and practical capacities. They contribute in building their own careers in an optimal way using Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organizations programs that serve the local community. The Organization seeks to create initiatives that support the local government in finding more productive and competitive, knowledge-based economy by providing funding, resources and support for the community.
TAG-KSs centers were established to embody the directives of HM King Abdullah II to develop Jordanian governorates and support the local community by all means available mainly in promoting the public-private partnership. The TAG-KS centers expanded to include all governorates of the Kingdom; in cooperation with many institutions and in line with the principles of corporate social responsibility of the Organization.
The Organization, through the Society, aims to shift to the digital and knowledge economy and provide opportunities for the Jordanian citizens to use ITC as an effective tool to serve the local community and all its segments especially rural and remote communities. That is to bridge the digital gap between Jordan governorates and provide the manpower with modern economic skills to increase its competitiveness in getting jobs and enhancing practical capabilities.
