Ministry of Industry and Trade in Kurdistan Presents AGIP with A Shield and Certificate of Appreciation

Erbil – April 7, 2016- Trademarks Registration Directorate at the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Iraqi Kurdistan honored Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property – Erbil office in recognition of its efforts in serving and developing Intellectual Property in Kurdistan.

Director of the Trademark Registration Directorate of the Ministry Professor Arslan Sheikh Ahmad visited the AGIP office in Erbil and presented the certificate and shield.

Mr. Mohammad Al-Jabouri, the executive director of TAG-Orgs companies in Iraq said: "the Organization has been working in Iraq through 13 companies registered in two offices in Erbil and Baghdad including AGIP.”

Al- Jabouri highly commended this recognition and pointed out to that "the company works on serving all its customers with the maximum level of excellence". "This recognition is a great award for the Company. Although that what we do is a duty that does not wait for a reward, we are more encouraged to continue with the development that we are keen to achieve in response to the directives of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, the chairman of the Organization.

It should be noted that AGIP was established in Kuwait in 1972 under the name "T.M.P Agents". AGIP worked in a close coordination with the Arab governments and the multilateral organizations to introduce effective intellectual property system. That system has resulted in significant changes in the region and encouraged the companies, institutions and individuals to provide more inventions as long as they are suitably rewarded and effectively protected.
