Abu-Ghazaleh Addresses Three Basic Messages on Human Resources Training and Development

AMMAN - April 26, 2016 - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), emphasized the importance of continuous training and developing human resources in line with the modernization of business development for a positive impact on individuals and economy.

During his keynote speech at the 1st Regional Conference of the International Federation of Training and Development Organizations (IFTDO) under the theme – ‘Human Resources: Development & Return on Investment’ held at the Holiday Inn Hotel.  Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh addressed three basic messages to those concerned with the human resources training and development.

He indicated that training must be purposeful, as not to appear a mere display. It must achieve certain goals that benefit the trainee in performing tasks and contributing to the organization and homeland while stressing on the fact that training must be based on Information Technology and Communications, and beneficial for the trainee to easily obtain the most modern training potentials that will be available digitally in the future.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that we live in a world that is transforming from conventional education to digital education and that is why the ongoing teaching and training programs must take the same path in this competitive world, noting that the future of education belongs to the learning method, not teaching.

He added that the role of training institutions is to provide digital training programs where the trainee studies and masters alone, then sits for the exam under the supervision of the training entity – where its role will entail the setup of digital programs, facilitating learning materials, conducting exams and the issuing of qualification certificates to eligible trainees.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh thanked the conference organizers indicating the importance of the event that falls under the directives of HM King Abdullah II, which stress the importance of training and qualification of competencies, especially with directed training. He stated that the directives of His Majesty are clear in intending to transform to a knowledge-based society, as there will be no future investment and fair competition without knowledge tools.

An Honorary Shield was presented to HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh at the end of the conference.
