Abu-Ghazaleh Initiates Competition for TAG Search Engine Filtration Prize

AMMAN – May 10, 2016 - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), initiated at the Kids Pitching Demo Day crowning event, sponsored by Orange a new competition for Hello World Kids programmers to design and develop a program that makes web searching process faster and easier.

Programmers need to create an algorithm to index and categorize the web pages on the Internet and add advanced searching capabilities to the users to enhance the searching results, in which each will be given the choice between building a new index for web pages or to use Google programming tools.

Winners will receive a financial reward, a shield, an Intellectual Property Right, and their idea will be transformed into a commercial product.

The crowning event was held to honor young children programmers for developing innovative mobile applications. Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, Ms. Hanan Khader, President of Hello World Kids and PR, CSR and Corporate Director of Orange Ms. Rana Dababneh presented the young talents with awards for their creative work and innovation in the field of mobile applications programming and software development.

A panel discussion was held with HE Senator Haifa Najjar, Mr. Ashraf Nayroukh, Managing Director of eLearment, and Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh, Executive Director of MENA Tech, and Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh to emphasize on the importance of digital and online education and how incorporating the Arabic language and IT skills is essential to compete worldwide to become “Tech Leaders.”
