AMMAN May 30, 2010 The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (Jordan) unveiled www.ascajordan.org, an innovative website through which it seeks to upgrade the science of accounting, administration and other related subjects. Through this website, The Society seeks to maintain professional autonomy for accountants, secure their protection and apply professional supervision standards on them as a means for the advancement of the accounting and auditing professions.

The Society also endeavors to provide high-standard professional services to serve its members, researchers, students and those who work in the various accounting fields at the local, Arab and international levels through its official website.

Because it works in a region of the world that witnesses radical and unprecedented changes, the Society recognizes all aspects of the economic environment including the social and organizational factors that govern this activity and it has the adequate expertise for that.

Due to its recognition for the need of organized development for the profession of accounting in order to build a sound foundation for the future, the Society shoulders the social responsibility for the encouragement of the accounting and auditing professions, the development of ethical standards, building capabilities and professional rehabilitation.

Moreover, ASCA has been officially entrusted by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and Wiley for the preparation of international standards for the financial reports and international standards for practice of auditing and international accounting standards in the public sector and many of its issued publications.
