Both parties will develop the quality standards of the higher education particularly in the areas of business administration and economy.
AMMAN --- February 14, 2009 --- The Arab Quality Assurance and Accreditation Network (ARQAANE) and the Higher Education Accreditation Commission (HEAC) have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the field of technical support to ensure quality and accreditation in education.
According to the MoU, both entities will develop the quality standards of the higher education particularly in the areas of business administration and economy by providing training in respect of accreditation standards. They will also cooperate in developing information database for educational institutions and in conducting special researches in education and its quality particularly in business administration education.
Moreover, the MoU entails that both parties design programs for capacity building in higher education. ARQANNE and HEAC will also offer academic and educational consultations especially in respect of quality and university governance.
Signing the MoU were Mr. Ikhleif Tarawneh, HEAC president and Dr. Bayan Abdulhaq, ARQAANE executive manager.
The Arab Quality Assurance and Accreditation Network (ARQAANE) is an international non-profit independent association established in Belgium in July 2007 with the fundamental objective of raising the quality of education in the Arab world through providing quality assurance and accreditation services, capacity building and dissemination of good practices.
