ASIP and ROLP Continue Holding Training Courses


The program aims to train about 25 candidates from the administrative staff who administer the courts in the various governorates of the Kingdom of Jordan

AMMAN -------- March 29, 2010------The Arab Society for Intellectual Property (ASIP) continues its work in overseeing the training courses which started January 17, 2010 and will continue until July 5, 2010 and conducted within the Rule of Law Project (ROLP), which is funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

According to the cooperation agreement signed with the Rule of Law Project, ASIP will train managing directors for the Jordanian courts by preparing a fully integrated training curriculum which will cover all the administrative aspects of the work of the director and that includes, Management and Planning, Human Resource Management and Data Analysis and other skills needed by the director of the court to perform his/her role effectively.

The program consists of 21 training modules spread over seven sessions which are: aims and roles of the courts, building relationships and credibility at the work environment, principles of management proceedings, data and information necessary for decision making, management principles, principles of human resources and operational planning.

The program aims to train about 25 candidates from the administrative staff who administer the courts in the various governorates of the Kingdom of Jordan.

The Rule of Law Project (ROLP)

The Rule of Law Project (ROLP) which is funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), provides financial and technical support to help improve the judicial development which aims at upgrading the performance of the Jordanian


judicial system and court services according to international best practices. These include: enhancing the effectiveness of the judiciary system, strengthening capacities in the Ministry of Justice, human resource development, computerization of the courts to expand the review of legislation, strengthening ties with civil society, the media and other partners in the process of litigation.
