Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah Receives Abu-Ghazaleh

    The establishment of Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi Academy for Capacity Building will contribute to developing the capacity of local and business communities - Abu-Ghazaleh 

RAS AL KHAIMAH ---January 14, 2008 --- His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received at his palace Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman and CEO of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) on January 9, 2008.

Various aspects of the comprehensive development realized by the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE as a whole were reviewed in the meeting.

 "Visitors to Ras Al Khaimah cannot but notice the magnitude and quality of development accomplished by the Emirate under the rule of His Highness Sheikh Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, along with Crown Prince HH Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi," Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh said. He stated that this development was thoroughly observed during TAGorgs four-decade presence in the Emirate.

During the meeting, both parties discussed the establishment of the Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi Academy for Capacity Building.

"The establishment of such academy will contribute to building and developing the capacity of local and business communities in the field of digital knowledge, computer skills, English language, education and professional training." Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh believes that this will "ensure the creation of a qualified community capable of working and dealing with high-tech developments.

Also discussed in the meeting was the strategic plan, currently being prepared, for the development of government departments in the Emirate to transform them into integrated electronic departments.

Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh confirmed that TAGorg is willing to offer its services due to its previous expertise in this field in several countries.

Complementing the course of growth and development of this young Emirate, the Consultations Department at TAGorgs Ras Al Khaimah Office shall submit proposals on projects that are on demand by the business, education, social and development sectors in the Emirate.

The accumulated experiences of TAGorg -through its presence in more than 65 offices globally- shall be utilized in relation to these proposals, which will be presented to His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi to choose what he deems appropriate.
