Abu-Ghazaleh tackles the role of new technologies in shaping the future world economy
NEW YORK --- August 16, 2007 ---Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) will take part at the first Annual China Top Executives and Fortune 500 Enterprises Summit to be held on August 23, 2007 at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
The Summit, organized by the Friendship Across Frontier Foundation with the support of the Secretariat of the Global Alliance for ICT and Development (GAID), will gather top executives of leading private companies from China as well as private sector representatives from the United States to discuss and examine the current situation and the future direction of the Chinese enterprises.
The Summit will take in-depth look at China?s economic and financial developments, with emphasis on the Chinese corporations? future paths in the United States financial markets; developments in China?s Information Technology (IT) industry and outsourcing opportunities; and international and diplomatic relations with China.
Abu-Ghazaleh will be tackling the role of new technologies in shaping the future world economy and society. In the context of this event, the GAID Secretariat will hold a panel sessions on how to encourage private companies, in particular Chinese enterprises, to contribute in making the benefits of ICT available to more people.
In addition to Abu-Ghazaleh, prominent well-recognized figures from all around the globe are addressing the attendants such as NirvanaSoft President P. Kumar, Bloomberg LB Managing Director Jim Ziegler, Founder and Chairman of One Laptop Per Child Nicholas Negroponte, in addition to others.
Representatives from Chinese industries in the areas of IT products and services, medicine, bio-technology and energy are expected to attend.
The sessions will also examine how businesses be a key partner and investor and how the government and private sector can work together to support the development and infrastructure for ICT.
