Human Resources Administration Conference Kicks Off in Cairo

CAIRO --- May 15, 2008 --- A conference entitled Human Resources Administration & Requirements of Career Planning was inaugurated in Cairo yesterday.  It is being organized jointly by the Central Agency for Organization and Administration (CAOA) affiliated with the Office of the Egyptian Prime Minister, and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Professional Training Group (TAGITRAINING).


 
Both the CAOA President and TAGITRAINIG Chairman, Dr. Safwat Al-Nahhas and Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh respectively, participated in the conference, along with Dr. Sadiq Afifi and a number of high-ranking officials.
 
Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh spoke at the opening session, stating We have begun to reap the fruits of our partnership with the CAOA which began two years ago with the signing of a cooperation agreement. Our goal is to create common programs for execution, as capacity building is one o
f our most significant activities.
 
Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh explained that his organization has collaborated with the Association of Arab Universities to launch the Arab Quality Assurance and Accreditation Network in Education, which was sponsored by and enjoyed the honorary presidency of Amr Mousa, the Secretary General of the League of Arab States.
 
Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh discussed the joint programs between TAGITRAINING and CAOA, adding that they include a plan of courses tha
t covers various fields and targets a large number of workers in the public and private sectors.
 
One of these programs includes a qualification course for HR administrators that aims to prepare and develop basic skills while attracting appropriate cadres to the field and enhancing their performance, according to Abu-Ghazaleh. He also called for adopting a policy for promoting those who successfully pass this program, and making this one of the career planning requirements for the governmental sector. He pointe
d out that applying this program at the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) has transformed its 70 offices into a knowledge-based community.
 
In conclusion, Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that some of TAGorgs smart offices at the Smart Village Cairo will be offering professional services to institutions of the state and private sector in various areas.
