Amman ? November 3, 2009 -- The Licensing Executives Society ? Arab Countries (LES-AC) and BME Global signed a memorandum of understanding on 21 October, 2009 to co-organize an annual ?Licensing Opportunities Forum?.
The first Forum will be held on 20-21 April 2010 in Cairo- Egypt with a view to address three primary purposes: education, networking and the promotion of licensing and technology transfer as a profession.
The two-day professional event will address the significance of Intellectual Property (IP) licensing, and facilitating technology transfer through connecting licensing professionals in order to generate business opportunities in different industrial sectors for developing Arab countries? economies.
The Licensing Executives Society?Arab Countries (LES-AC) is the first non-profit Arab regional association concerned with licensing and technology transfer. LES-AC aims at educating the business community on the economic importance of licensing, the protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), and investment in research and development (R&D).
