The two parties agreed on holding a series of specialized training courses in the area of patent registration and evaluation and licensing of Intellectual Property Rights
AMMAN------- February 21, 2010------- The Licensing Executives Society- Arab Countries (LES-AC) and El Hassan Science City represented by the Intellectual Property Registration Office signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on licensing and technology transfer-related consultations, in addition to organizing and holding specialized training courses.
The two parties agreed on holding a series of specialized training courses in the area of patent registration and evaluation and licensing of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), providing technical consultancy services related to licensing and technology transfer arrangements, assessment of industrial property rights and providing marketing services for registered patents.
The agreement was signed by Ms. Renad Al-Noubani, LES-AC Manager, and Eng. Omar Hamarneh, Executive Director of El Hassan Science City, who emphasized the importance of cooperation for developing and linking local academic and industrial communities through technology transfer and intellectual property investment.
On her part, Ms. Al-Noubani commended on this cooperation where both parties gain mutual benefits from the services provided by the other party, enriching the local and regional community with expertise and ad hoc and unique services.

El Hassan Science City is a national institution that aims at providing services related to technology transfer and intellectual property registration and investment, holding various seminars, lectures and training courses and cooperating with institutions, bodies, companies and other associations with common goals.

LES-AC is the first Arab regional specialized society in licensing and technology transfer. It is the sole regional representative of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) in the Arab countries.
