Mutah University Hosts the Second Branch of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society in Jordan

Amman, Jordan - 28 December 2009 ? Mu?tah University agreed to host the second branch of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge) to be the second center for TAG-Knowledge in the city of Karak, South Jordan.

Mr. Tarek Hammad, TAG-Knowledge executive director, paid a visit earlier this month to Mu?tah University, and met with Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahim Hunaiti, the University President. At the start of the visit, Mr. Hammad introduced TAG-Knowledge to Dr. Hunaiti explaining the role it plays in enhancing the skills and expertise of university students through research and studies available on the Internet, as well as fostering their sense of social responsibility.

On his part, Dr. Hunaiti expressed his admiration of the TAG-Knowledge concept and thanked Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for his generous initiative to serve the community in general and the students in particular. He agreed to the University hosting TAG-Knowledge in the Higher Studies building within the campus for ten years and allocating an initial area of about 800 square meters for the implementation of the project in collaboration with the "SABEQ" program funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Mr. Hamad noted that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) plans to set up other branches of TAG-Knowledge in the Hashemite University and Yarmouk University, in addition to the "Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Windows in Palestine", where 35 centers will be established and equipped with supplies and services.

TAG-Knowledge
It is the latest initiative of Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh to perform the social responsibility of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization with the objective of fostering thought and knowledge, and develop Arab youth and human resources. The key mission of TAG-Knowledge is to qualify the largest number of local professionals, who enjoy competitive skills as the result of having access to international knowledge and developments under the direct supervision of TAG-Org expert.
