AMMAN --- June 7, 2010 --- The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge) hosted the Architectural Forums 7th workshop entitled "Architecture of Amman and the Levant" with the participation of students representing various universities and environmentalists.
The workshop discussed several key issues starting with the concept of a city as a definition and its relation to the spacious environment and rural areas in addition to a detailed comparison between Amman and Damascus regarding architecture.
Winner of the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture Prof. Raeef Mhana was a guest at the workshop which witnessed a display of some of his famous works.
Prof. Mhana expressed his admiration of the work conducted by TAG-Knowledge saying," I enjoyed a lot the interactive among students and the high level of discussion provided by TAG-Knowledge."
Mr. Tareq Hammad, TAG-Knowledge executive director said " We are really proud to have such a workshop and we will continue to hosts more interesting events for students."
"Our aim is to provide new lectures in various fields to satisfy students," he added.
TAG-Knowledge Society has recently hosted the launch of the Forum of Architecture in order to provide the opportunity for students of engineering at the Jordanian universities to identify the practical experiences learned from architects.
