TAGorg Educational Department Pledges Support to EPI

The Educational Department at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) affirmed its commitment and responsibility towards the implementation of the Palestinian Educational Initiative (EPI).

This initiative which is strictly non-political aims at providing Palestinian children with a better education that will lead to a better life and atmosphere if applied in accordance with successful educational practices.  EPI has managed to introduce modern, and new open approaches to the educational system in the country.

According to a statement by EPI partners, this initiative is a national, strategic program with a regional and global outlook.  Moreover, they renewed their pledge to promote the program amongst friends and supporters who share the same vision that links education to the future taking into consideration Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s personal interest in the progress and success of this initiative as reflected in his speech to world leaders in the World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) which was held in Tunisia last November.

Keen to provide this initiative with the appropriate support and cooperation, Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman and CEO of TAGorg has decided to establish the new Educational Department at the Organization. The department will follow up on all matters related to this specific initiative.

President Abbas met with Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh on the margin of the World Summit where they discussed various educational affairs such as establishing a branch for the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAGCB) in Palestine.
