TAGorg Launches Its Own Internet Service Provider

AMMAN --- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) launched on Monday , May 23, 2007  the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Internet Service Provider (TAGISP) project; a pioneering technical achievement in business sector.

Through this project, the organization has become the self-Internet provider for all its 70 offices and diverse activities.

"The TAGISP will facilitate and speed up the pace of the organizations operations since all companies and departments will undertake their work through our own Internet Line  and not through other Internet Service providers; thus productivity will increase," said Mr. Jamal Al-Khalili, TAGorg Information and Communication Technology (ICT) chairman-advisor.

"The Internet line is directly connected to Hashem 1 Station; now, all TAGorg companies will be granted faster and dedicated Internet line access," he added.

Al-Khalili elaborated that such an achievement is a natural response to the growth of the organizations services which require a larger capacity and a faster connection.

"This fast line will be used for providing free Internet service for Talal Abu- Ghazaleh knowledge Society Center (TAGKS) in Jordan," he pointed out.

TAGKS is a new and unique initiative aimed at serving students and civil society to promote awareness of the importance of knowledge, Internet technology and e-training.

The first center will be opened July 2007 near the Jordan University.
