AMMAN ? The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) announced the launch of its new website - called ?TAGorg - The Institution? - on December 26, 2007, which represents a compilation of the 35-year history of the organization.
The website, www.tagorg-theinstitution.com, includes reports issued by the company, interviews with its chairman, memorandums/agreements, thank-you letters and other categories.
According to Senior Editor Rifat Audeh, who directly supervised the administration and compilation of the site?s material, work first began on this project in February 2007. Since that time, thousands of files ?both photos and text documents- have been compiled, translated, edited and then organized chronologically and uploaded, documenting the firm?s history.
Audeh stated that ?one of the biggest challenges wasn?t getting the information, but was actually organizing these 35 years of history into something digestable to the end-user. The result is a user-friendly website that allows searches for events, press releases, speeches, photos or other items based on the year they took place. The site will also be continuously updated and improved as new events unfold.?
The site was launched based on the directive of Chairman Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and as a fruit of collaboration between the Media Watch and Web Development departments of Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP), and the Media department of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International (TAGI).
