Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society and Greater Amman Municipality Sign Agreement to Establish Knowledge Station 

AMMAN – May 2, April 25, 2016 - Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-KS), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Foundation, and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) signed a cooperation agreement to establish a TAG-KS Knowledge Station at the Municipality to service the local community, at Amman’s Ras Al Ein Training Center.

The agreement signed by Amman Mayor HE Mr. Akel Biltaji and HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) will provide state-of-the-art tools and facilitating means in the fields of Information Technology and Communications, as well as cooperative work for holding training courses, issuing training certificates, and linking youth with the labor market.

HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed on the importance of this cooperation, which comes in line with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II on cooperative work between the public and private sectors to serve the local community saying:" TAG-Org endeavors through its cooperation with the Municipality to achieve the best for the youth by qualifying them to keep abreast with the needs and requirements of the local and Arab labor market."

HE Mr. Biltaji stated that this initiative to implement the vision and mission of Greater Amman Municipality will enhance the level of services provided for Amman’s citizens by qualifying them to cope with work requirements, overcome pressure and promote their socio-economic conditions for the city’s sustainability.

Under the agreement, the Municipality will provide a hall to host TAG-KS Knowledge Station as well as the infrastructure and staff needed to manage the site. Meanwhile, TAG-KS will equip and provide the Station with the necessary means, tools and communication techniques, as well as supervise its management and technical operations to be in-line with TAG-KS’ mainstream standards.
