TAG-ORG Opens the First Smart Class in the Kingdom at the Jubilee School of King Hussein Foundation

AMMAN----  August 9, 2015 ---- Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Noor Al Hussein and the attendance of HE Dr. Talal Abu- Ghazaleh, the first smart class of its kind in the Kingdom was opened Thursday at the Jubilee School of King Hussein Foundation. The class was equipped by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University with smart educational environment, using interactive modern software and sophisticated equipment.

His Excellency Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh extended his gratitude to Her Majesty Queen Noor Al Hussein for her patronage of the first of its kind event.

Her Majesty Queen Noor Al Hussein, founder and  chairperson of the King Hussein Foundation, thanked Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and said, "The Jubilee School was founded to promote advanced learning and innovation. The TAG smart class is a significant development in the schools focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), and contributes to the Jubilee Schools  2.0 phase integrating e-learning in its academic and personal development curricula to improve students competitiveness in science and technology development. With this initiative we hope to reach and benefit students and teachers across Jordan and beyond."

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh emphasized that the future of education worldwide is the smart education stating that the inauguration of this class comes within the continuous directions of His Majesty King Abdullah II for the improvement of education as His Majesty always stressed on the importance of smart knowledge transformation.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed on the importance of such event in all schools of the Kingdom, to make the Jubilee School a model to be followed by all schools to keep pace with the advanced education process, therefore, moving forward in the process of smart communities. 

Mrs. Suha Jouaneh, the school principal, complimented this initiative and expressed her appreciation for the support TAG-Org gave, and continues to give, for youth innovations and technological and leadership initiatives, opening new horizons in the labor market, through partnership between TAG-Org and the Jubilee School to finance and create the first smart class in Jordan.

The Smart Class is a pilot project which aims to create a smart interactive environment equipped with high-tech hardware components designed for enhancing the learning process.  The main feature is student centered classrooms. The role of the teacher is transformed into facilitating the use of technology.  Another aspect of the smart class is to hold meetings and interactive participation with other schools during lessons. This enables successful and active knowledge transfer between students and schools. In this beneficial manner, all class lessons are uploaded to a storage unit.   Students are therefore able to refer to lectures whenever required.
