Abu-Ghazaleh Awards Accreditation to Al Hijaz Private Schools by AROQA

AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA), awarded the Organization’s accreditation to Al Hijaz Private Schools in Jordan, to become the third school in Jordan, and fourth in the Arab world to receive such an accreditation.

Al Hijaz Private Schools achieved this important accomplishment after two years of continuous work and after meeting quality assurance requirements in education to AROQA’s school accreditation standards.   

During a special meeting with the Schools staff and the distinguished students, along with AROQA team held at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) headquarters, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh presented the accreditation certificate and shield to Ms. Sameera  Othman, Principal of the Schools, and Mr. Hasan Husen Albeirawi, the Schools’ administrative and financial manager.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in cooperation with Al Hijaz Private Schools as well as  providing them with quality assurance and accreditation services, affirming the importance and benefit of the accreditation in improving the educational process and performance. 

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that the Organization launched school accreditation standards of educational institutions in accordance with the international standards and devoted all its resources and expertise to spread the culture of quality and accreditation to elevate education to the next level up in the Arab countries. 

Noting that Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh has chaired the UN ICT Task Force, he emphasized the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the AI-enabled education which was the main reason behind establishing Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI), stating that the University College aims at promoting innovation which changes all lifestyle around the world. 

In view of the importance of education and the Arabic language, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said that TAG.Global has recently launched the Arabic Fluency Program that is compatible with curricula in all countries since its content is free from any political, social or religious topics. 

Moreover, the Arabic Placement Test that assesses the level of proficiency in the Arabic language has been launched thanks to the efforts of TAG.Global language and IT experts.

For her part, Ms. Othman praised the Organization’s role in improving and developing the Arab educational level, noting that the Schools worked hard to earn this accreditation to keep abreast with the latest professional, practical and scientific developments for the purpose of educating the future generation in accordance with international standards in the Age of Knowledge.  

She also extended her gratitude to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh asserting that the Schools seek through cooperation with AROQA to develop good governance, leadership, and the implementation of advanced education and teaching methods.

The implementation of quality and academic accreditation standards involves several aspects related to the vision and the objectives of the accelerating educational developments in the knowledge era. They also aim at improving governance and leadership to support efforts in continuous development; to apply modern and advanced methods of teaching and education; to provide remarkable learning opportunities for the students and to equip them with the required knowledge and skills;  to activate a comprehensive evaluation system to measure the extent of development and improvement; to provide the necessary technical resources for supporting the educational process as well as complying with the continuous development process to guarantee and improve quality.

It is worth mentioning that the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) is an international non-for-profit independent association established in Belgium in 2007 with the fundamental objective of raising the quality of higher education in general with a special focus on the Arab world.
