Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Program in Social Responsibility Launched in Kuwait
KUWAIT - The Regional Network for Social Responsibility (RNSR) launched the ‘Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Program in Social Responsibility’ during the ‘International Forum of Global Ambassadors for Community Partnership 2019’ held in Kuwait under the patronage of Sheikh Fawaz Khaled Al-Sabah, Al-Ahmadi governor.
The Forum was co-organized by Al-Ahmadi governorate, the Arab Planning Institute, the Global Center for Sustainable Development and the Superior Achievement Institute for Training, Economic, Administrative and Financial Consulting in Kuwait.
During the Forum, the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Program, whose core principle is based on publishing four specialized books in corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Arabic was launched. Additionally, the ‘Arabic Book on Social Responsibility’ was signed.
The four publications aim at enhancing sustainable development thinking of Arab communities to contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals through rich and active programs in partnership with the RNSR.
Commenting on the launch of Program, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh stated that the corporate social responsibility managed by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global encompasses different Arab countries, urging all investors to carry out CSR activities, which he considered ‘a noble mission that serves all people without any exception’.
Furthermore, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that social responsibility is one of the basic tools that ensure economic balance in society, pointing out that the concept of social responsibility was the main reason behind launching the UN Global Compact in 2000 of which Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh was Vice Chair with UN Secretaries General Kofi Annan and Ban Ki-moon.
