‘Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation’ Asserts Keenness to Keep Abreast of Latest Advancements in Education

AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI), met TAGUCI Dean, Dr. Naser Al-Nsor, to discuss ways of developing the University College work to stay up-to-date with current trends in the field of education. 

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh underlined the importance of the University College which was established as an Arab national project that seeks to graduate young people who are able to support their nations by their inventions and innovations, and contribute to the digital transformation the world is experiencing.   

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also reiterated his full support to the strategic plans implemented by TAGUCI, restating strong commitment to all regulations and decisions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Higher Education Accreditation Commission. 

For his part, Dr. Al-Nsor reviewed the most significant programs and plans TAGUCI is currently carrying out, pointing out that the number of students who enrolled in the second semester of the academic year 2021 has increased by (40%), referring to TAGUCI’s continuous commitment to offer (75%) scholarships to refugee students, and (60%) scholarships to those with ‘Outstanding and Excellent’ grades in their Bachelor's degree cumulative average grading system, in addition to (50%) scholarships to those with ‘Very Good’ and ‘Good’ grades.  

Furthermore, Dr. Al-Nsor pointed out that TAGUCI has recently initiated procedures for the institutional inclusion of the University College in the National Qualification Framework in accordance with the policies of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions, adding that TAGUCI teaching and learning plans are currently being adjusted to become in line with specifications in terms of knowledge and skills.

It is worth mentioning that TAGUCI has started to implement its plans of integrating e-learning with traditional education to achieve the point of completely teaching programs digitally, and at the same time, to introduce a new Masters programs in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Digital Marketing and Innovation, Supply Chain Management in cooperation with Erasmus. 

Always striving for excellence of its programs, Al-Nsor revealed that TAGUCI is taking the required procedures to obtain the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation, to be parallel to the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA). 

It is worth mentioning that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI) is a University College specialized in applied business and information technology. It is an independent educational institution accredited by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions.
