During the ‘Accreditation and Training Programs for Educational Institutions in Libya’ workshop: Abu-Ghazaleh Hails Cooperation between AROQA and ‘Libyan Society for Quality & Excellence in Education’

AMMAN – The Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) and the Libyan Society for Quality & Excellence in Education (LSQEE) organized a workshop entitled “Accreditation and Training Programs for Educational Institutions in Libya”, chaired by AROQA Executive Director, Mr. Yaser Al Nadi, and LSQEE President , Prof. Dr. Hussein Margin. 

The workshop aimed to introduce participants to AROQA’s accreditation and training programs for the educational institutions in Libya.

During the workshop, which was held digitally in the presence of a host of educational experts and researchers, Al Nadi conveyed the greetings of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of AROQA, to members of the Society, praising the fruitful cooperation between AROQA and the Society in enhancing quality of education in Libya. 

Al Nadi drew attention to various topics, including the challenges the education sector is experiencing in the Arab countries especially in light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and the importance of accreditation in the education sector in order to improve its quality. He referred to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s guidance and directives in developing innovation indicators in view of the impact of the Knowledge Revolution that is based on information and communication technology, for achieving leadership, economic progress and prosperity of countries. 

For her part, Ms. Maria Tawalbeh, AROQA quality and development manager, reviewed the vision, the mission and the goals of the Organization and its activities; underlining the significance of accreditation in improving education in a mechanism that achieves Sustainable Development and ensures strong competitiveness locally, regionally and internationally. 

Al Tawalbeh also highlighted the importance of disseminating culture of quality at the educational institutions to improve the education outputs, discussing the theme of school accreditation and its benefits to educational institutions, its stages, steps, and procedures to ensure quality of education. 

Dr. Margin expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his great efforts in supporting the education sector, noting that the workshop came in line with the terms of the previously signed agreement between the two parties. 

He also commended the concerted efforts in disseminating the culture of quality and innovation in education, and addressing the challenges facing the education sector in light of the current circumstances and the necessity of finding solutions to create innovative role models for a better and prosperous future of the Arab countries. 

At the end of the workshop, participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to AROQA and the Society for organizing such a workshop, affirming its vital role in meeting the needs and requirements of education development.
