‘Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation’ Participates in the Erasmus+ Program Seminar

AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), took part in a seminar organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Jordan to support international programs of Erasmus+, funded by the European Union.

TAGUCI’s participation in the event is attributed to its keenness on developing and promoting its international academic and research ties with the Jordanian universities and their European counterparts. Erasmus+ program aims at facilitating the exchange of students, faculty members, and administrators among universities, and it conducts new distinctive academic programs at different levels of education. 

Prof. Ahmad Abu-El-Haija, director of Jordan National Erasmus+ office, inaugurated the seminar by introducing the participants to the program goals, projects, and the mechanism for participation therein, especially in the field of capacity building in higher education.

He also discussed several issues related to the mechanism of building youth capacity and developing their extra-curricular skills, conducting joint master’s programs in partnership between the Jordanian and European universities, qualifying and training teachers, gender equality, and digital higher education. That is, in addition to, strengthening international cooperation in higher education and establishing specialized centers in training, vocational and applied education; as well as collaborating in building institutional partnership between Jordanian and European universities to promote concepts and applications of creativity.

Through the Erasmus + Program, TAGUCI conducts new educational programs by providing (Master’s Degree in Global Supply Chain Management Program) to meet the labor market needs, and at the same time, to provide professionals who seek to develop their career with the knowledge and expertise in the supply chain management and logistics fields.

It is worth mentioning that several Jordanian universities participated in the seminar, as part of their active academic involvement and activities, as Jordan is considered one of the dynamic countries in the region in terms of the number of the agreements signed and the number of students who benefit from the Program.
