Abu-Ghazaleh Receives Secretary-General of the Arab Scout Region Organization

AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), received in his office the Secretary-General of the Arab Scout Region - World Organization of the Scout Movement, Mr. Amr Hamdy Abdel Ghany, to discuss means of cooperation in the fields of training, digital transformation and its tools, in addition to intellectual property rights (IPRs) and TAG technological products.

The  two sides discussed the economic impact of Intellectual Property Rights  (IPRs) on the production of new goods and services using modern technologies that effectively contribute to supporting production, enhancing its capacities, and helping in optimizing economic resources in order to drive economic growth and create new jobs opportunities.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of digital transformation at a time when most of the Arab countries are suffering from the repercussions of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, affirming that digital transformation played a significant role in economic recovery from the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that TAG.Global started the process of digital transformation many years ago, and that’s why TAG Organization’s work and activities have not been affected during the pandemic and the resulting closures  worldwide. He further announced that the Organization  collaborates constantly with the League of Arab States to implement the Digital Transformation Project at the Arab region level and to disseminate the culture of digital learning. 

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also reviewed the integrated digital transformation services offered by TAG.Global’s specialized Digital Transformation Consulting Department to numerous institutions.

Further, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, talked about Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology (TAGTech) latest projects; the projects that are specialized in designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art technological devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones for all uses in the knowledge world, available worldwide at lower prices than other global brands.

For his part, Mr. Abdelghany emphasized the importance of digital transformation, reviewing the application of the digital transformation process at the Arab Scout Region during the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in training 5000 scoutmasters, in addition to organizing outdoor youth camps. Moreover, he praised the significance of protecting intellectual property rights and training young people in this field, pointing out that a training course on the importance of IPRs was held for the youth in cooperation with TAG.Global.

It is worth mentioning that the Arab Scout Region is headquarters in Cairo, the Republic of Egypt. It was established in 1954 with all Arab countries as active members.
